Tamar Education Business Partnership provides a wide range of services that can help young people develop their knowledge, skills and attitudes by working with people from business.

Tamar EBP

The key objectives are to assist in raising standards of achievement, to increase motivation and skills and to prepare young people for their future working lives.

Also, an important objective is to secure a greater number of businesses to support learners through providing activities that also meet employers' expectations.

Experienced staff co-ordinate work experience across the city and organise industry days, role model panels, mock interviews and enterprise activities etc, all of which are described in the LEA's Prospectus of Services.

Tamar EBP manages Seymour House Learning Centre in Mount Wise, Plymouth which offers an attractive waterfront location, an enclosed car park and gardens that are used for educational activities. A new ICT multi-media suite is currently being installed and new resources purchased to deliver activities in the Primary Technology Centre.

Tamar EBP is keen to work with primary, secondary, FE /HE institutions and businesses, helping to provide quality education-business links that are well planned and evaluated and contribute to the regeneration and economic development of Plymouth.
